Elk at Iceberg Pass

I saw this herd of elk hanging out near the top of Rocky Mountain National Park at Iceberg Pass while I was on my way to set up for an astrophotography shoot nearby. Even though the sun was near the horizon, our elevation and angle of the mountain kept us all well lit. The bull elk in the center bugled until the sun set completely - I had never heard anything like that before!
